Florida School
f/t Deaf

Overview
As a personal challenge, I've committed to creating and uploading a new design daily, aiming to explore fresh styles and enhance my proficiency in the initial concept stage of web design
Goal
My primary goal with this project was to design an innovative platform that could redefine the way people interact with technology. I wanted to create a product that was intuitive, responsive, and aesthetically pleasing while offering innovative features that would enhance the user experience.
I had the privilege of spearheading the creation of the Florida School for the Deaf viewbook, where I meticulously captured the essence of this remarkable institution through both photography, content development, and design. This project was a labor of love, aimed at showcasing the school's unique qualities, values, and achievements.
Through my lens, I skillfully documented the vibrant life on campus, encapsulating the energy of our students engaged in various activities, from classroom learning to extracurricular pursuits. Each photograph was carefully composed to tell a compelling visual story of the school's inclusive and nurturing environment.
Simultaneously, I delved deep into the heart of FSDB to craft engaging, informative, and inspiring content that accompanies these visuals. The words I penned aimed to convey not only the school's rich history and academic excellence but also the strong sense of community, diversity, and the endless opportunities it offers to students.
Furthermore, I personally designed every page of the viewbook, ensuring that the layout, graphics, and overall aesthetic were in harmony with the school's identity and message. This allowed me to create a cohesive and visually captivating representation of FSDB.
The viewbook I created is a testament to the school's commitment to fostering growth, empowerment, and success for all its students. Through this project, I aimed to open a window into the world of FSDB, inviting prospective students and their families to experience the warmth, support, and boundless potential that defines our institution.

In response to the need for a cohesive brand identity at the Florida School for the Deaf, I played a key role in creating brand guidelines, collaborating closely with the Director of Public Relations who oversaw the project. This endeavor was particularly crucial as, prior to this initiative, FSDB lacked a comprehensive brand guideline. This absence led to challenges such as staff using stretched logos and deviating from brand standard colors in various communication materials.
My responsibilities included designing and conceptualizing a range of brand assets that accurately reflected the school's ethos. These assets encompassed a wide spectrum, including business card designs, PowerPoint templates, newsletters tailored for each department, stationery, and a distinctive logo and logomark.
Each aspect of the brand was meticulously crafted to ensure consistency and professionalism across all touchpoints. I also developed detailed brand standards that outlined the guidelines and principles that our staff needed to adhere to. These standards served as a compass, guiding our team in maintaining a unified brand identity and voice.
My collaboration with the Director of Public Relations ensured that the project remained aligned with our strategic communication goals. Together, we addressed the challenges posed by the absence of a brand guideline and worked to rectify inconsistencies in our branding efforts.

I played a pivotal role in the development of a comprehensive set of branded marketing materials. These materials encompassed PowerPoint templates, business cards, newsletter templates, memos, and forms.

As a media production specialist, I took on the responsibility of creating videos that spotlighted our exceptional staff and students. The unique challenge I encountered was handling all aspects of the projects independently, from developing video content to working on information delivery, captioning, video editing, storytelling, and designing graphics. I ensured that each element was crafted to portray an authentic and engaging narrative.
